This piece has many layers to it. The colours are red, black, white and grey. There is a lot of symbolism to the colours and shapes used. The first layer is a checkerboard effect with white grey and black (inspired by Escher) The it has a crackle medium applied and red over the top. Followed by the white lines and writing. The whole painting is covered in resin giving it a really glassy appearance.
